The Community Behind Miracle Makers International Film Festival
A vision may begin with one person, but it rarely grows because of one person alone.
As the Miracle Makers International Film Festival prepares for Season Three, September 2–6, 2026, at Regal Edwards Big Newport, the story is not only about founder Erin Miracle, the films, the filmmakers, or even the red carpet.
It is also about the people helping carry the vision.
The associate directors.
The producers.
The volunteers.
The sponsors.
The media partners.
The panelists.
The industry voices.
The businesses.
The nonprofits.
The community leaders.
The supporters who decided that a purpose-driven festival was worth investing time, talent, resources, relationships, and visibility into.
That is the focus of this next GospelRhythms installment:
COMMUNITY.
Because miracles may begin with vision, but very often, they are built through people.
A VISION NEEDS HANDS
Miracle Makers describes itself as more than a festival. Its mission is to empower storytellers, connect creators with real opportunities, and build relationships that can extend beyond a single event. The festival specifically emphasizes partnerships among filmmakers, businesses, nonprofits, sponsors, community leaders, media, volunteers, and industry professionals.
That matters because vision needs infrastructure.
Someone has to organize the screenings.
Someone has to welcome the guests.
Someone has to coordinate the red carpet.
Someone has to handle press.
Someone has to run the box office.
Someone has to support the filmmakers.
Someone has to manage the panels.
Someone has to share the posts.
Someone has to open the door.
And often, someone has to simply say:
“I believe in what you are building. How can I help?”
THE WOMEN HELPING LEAD THE VISION

Erin Miracle may be the Founder and Festival Director, but Miracle Makers also credits Lailah Morid and Danielle Douglas as Associate Festival Directors helping carry the mission forward.
The festival describes Lailah as an entrepreneur with experience in journalism, production, personal finance, and entrepreneurship, with a passion for faith-driven entertainment that uplifts audiences and inspires meaningful conversation.
Danielle Douglas is described as having been integral to Miracle Makers since its inception, bringing experience in production, e-commerce, marketing, operations, and independent cinema.
That is an important part of the Miracle Makers story.
Leadership is not simply about having a vision.
It is also about building a team capable of helping steward it.
THE PEOPLE WHO CREATE ACCESS
Then there are the voices stepping into the festival itself.
Season Three includes panels and conversations with filmmakers, producers, faith leaders, entertainment professionals, technology voices, and other industry figures discussing everything from film financing and distribution to faith, family, creative courage, and the future of entertainment.
That changes the experience.
Because a filmmaker may arrive hoping someone notices their movie.
But they may leave having met someone who helps them understand their next move.
A writer may attend a screening.
Then sit in on a panel.
Then have a hallway conversation.
Then exchange information.
Then follow up.
And months later, what seemed like a simple introduction may become a collaboration.
That is what community can do.
SPONSORS AND PARTNERS HELP MAKE ROOM
Miracle Makers is actively inviting sponsors and partners to align with the festival and help expand opportunities for creators. According to the festival, sponsorship support can help fuel screenings, scholarships, mentorship, career resources, visibility, industry panels, and other opportunities for makers.
That means sponsorship is not just about putting a logo on a banner.
At its best, partnership says:
“We want to help create the room where someone else’s gift can be seen.”
For businesses, churches, media organizations, technology companies, nonprofits, and community leaders, that creates an opportunity to support something larger than a single event.
It creates the possibility of helping a storyteller move forward.
MEDIA MATTERS TOO
Press and media are another part of the ecosystem.
Miracle Makers is intentionally welcoming media outlets, photographers, podcasters, influencers, interviewers, and content creators to help tell the festival’s story and amplify the people behind the work. The festival’s press and influencer opportunities include red carpet coverage, interviews, hosting, and content partnerships.
That is especially important for independent creators.
A major studio may have a marketing department.
An emerging filmmaker may have a phone, a dream, and a small team.
Media exposure helps bridge that gap.
One interview can introduce a filmmaker to an audience they did not have before.
One article can help someone discover a project.
One social post can send people into a screening room.
Visibility can become opportunity.
And sometimes opportunity begins because someone simply chose to shine a light.
VOLUNTEERS ARE PART OF THE MIRACLE TOO
Not every important person at a festival has a title that appears on a poster.
Miracle Makers is also recruiting volunteers to help with hospitality, red carpet, box office, screenings, and other festival operations.
Those roles matter.
The person greeting a guest matters.
The person helping a filmmaker find the correct theater matters.
The person checking tickets matters.
The person solving the problem no one else noticed matters.
Purpose does not always look glamorous.
Sometimes purpose is simply being dependable in the place where you said you would serve.
THE MAKERS THEMSELVES BUILD THE COMMUNITY

Of course, the filmmakers, writers, actors, musicians, podcasters, and content creators are not simply participants.
They are part of the community too.
Season Three includes more than 80 categories across traditional and emerging media, with creators represented in film, documentaries, screenwriting, music, dance, podcasts, web series, YouTube, content creation, and more.
Each one brings a story.
A perspective.
A set of experiences.
A network.
A possibility.
And when those people gather, something bigger than a program schedule can happen.
Community is formed.
THE MIRACLE MAY BE WHO YOU MEET
Sometimes we think a miracle has to look dramatic.
A huge check.
A major distribution deal.
A standing ovation.
A sold-out theater.
But sometimes the miracle is quieter.
The person who introduces you to the right contact.
The volunteer who encourages you when you are nervous.
The panelist who answers the question you were afraid to ask.
The sponsor who believes in your next project.
The media outlet that tells your story.
The filmmaker sitting next to you who becomes a future collaborator.
The friend who says:
“You should meet this person.”
That is community.
And that is often how purpose moves.
THERE IS STILL ROOM TO HELP BUILD IT
Miracle Makers continues to invite people to get involved as sponsors, volunteers, press, influencers, partners, and supporters.
So if you have been watching the festival grow and wondering whether there is a place for you, the answer may be yes.
Maybe you have a business.
Maybe you have media reach.
Maybe you have a service.
Maybe you have time.
Maybe you have expertise.
Maybe you know someone who should be connected.
Maybe your contribution is financial.
Maybe your contribution is relational.
Maybe your contribution is simply helping someone else discover the festival.
The question is not always:
“What can I get from being involved?”
Sometimes the better question is:
“What do I already have that could help someone else move forward?”
